From our foundation in 1988 Strategic Selection has always been a leading provider of recruitment services to the networking industry diversifying into e-commerce, telecommunications and software sectors as technology has evolved.
Q. Do you cover countries outside the UK?
Yes. As we have grown, we have broadened our focus to encompass European and International assignments, offering a multi-country, multi-lingual global business expertise.
Q. What levels of positions are you experienced in searching for?
Our success in identifying and placing the more operational Sales, Marketing and Technical Management roles right through to strategic board level positions has been exceptional world-wide. Our ability to work across the different disciplines, across countries within a Company has also positioned us as the first choice for many of our clients.
Q. How is a search conducted?
A thorough client briefing is critical in order to assess not only the skills, experience and talent required, but to gain an understanding of the company culture. Once this is done, our highly experienced Research team will commence the search, forming a critical platform for the assignment. Face to face meetings can then take place using the most advanced interviewing techniques to identify and screen the right candidates to be put forward for shortlist.
Q. Who will be in charge of my account?
Each client is allocated an Account Team. Namely an Account Manager; consultant or team of consultants with the relevant experience; backed up by a business support unit.
Q. What kind of fee structure can I expect?
As an executive search company we generally work on a retained basis. The fees are usually in three stages; Commencement of search activity, submission of shortlist and final balance payment upon placement. Each assignment is based upon an agreed proposal.
Q. How long will it take?
It is unusual that the ideal candidate is found immediately, such is the value add of our research and consultancy. Depending upon the type of role, a thorough search, screening of potential candidates and a hand picked shortlist can take from three weeks up to three months. During the search the consultant remains constantly in touch with the client keeping him informed and adjusting the perimeters of the research if required.
